About the Class:

This course is taught by Steve Adams who teaches advanced pistol skills and defensive tactics to the public.  It is intended for those who are ready to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to protect themselves and others with a pistol.  It goes beyond basic marksmanship and legal knowledge to address the skills needed to succeed in a gunfight.  Most of this course will be on the range where students will practice drills with and without live ammunition to begin the development of muscle memory and learn how to practice in ways that will develop the needed skills.

Students must have an Idaho Enhanced Concealed Weapons Permit, a permit from another state requiring training in firearms safety and pistol handling, or have attended one of our other courses before they can attend this course.

Several different range activities will be utilized including drawing from a holster, malfunction drills, reloading drills, moving while shooting, drawing from concealment, and others.  Students will also have an opportunity to test their new skills in a friendly competition at the conclusion of the course.

You will need a functioning pistol and 100 rounds of ammunition for each student. Safety eye and ear wear along with adequate clothing. Paper and pencil/pen for taking notes and a sack lunch. More detailed information will be provided after you register.

About the Concealed Carry Instructor:

Steve has over 20 years in education experience both in Academia and in Firearm Training. As an NRA Training Counselor, he brings complicated ideas down to concise and simple concepts in order to ensure comprehension and a positive experience.
